Our Mission

Baboon - Danica Olexová Foundation was established in memory of Danica Olexová, who died in a plane crash in Ethiopia in 2019. It continues her mission and focuses on activities supporting the dignity and integral development of people in Slovakia and abroad, especially in African countries. It supports activities and projects of social assistance, education, development of life, work and business skills.

History

Baboon - Danica Olexová Foundation was established on March 4, 2020, just as the corona virus began to spread around the world. The foundation was founded by Danica's mother, Anna Olexová, and a group of Danica's friends.
In 2021, a book of Danica's texts and photographs, Stories From Beneath The Acacia, was published and the film Danica and Her Stories was made.
